It would be an interesting experiment. The silver plate will oxidize, but it is still as conductive as silver. Copper oxide is nowhere as near conductive as polished copper. Thus I think that it would make a difference in the long run. How much I do not know, but it will keep the skin resistance much lower than bare copper. Let me know what you find out. It would take an A/B comparison of a plated loop vs non plated. In the long term, the silver plated loop would maintain lower loss due to the much lower skin resistance. It would be a most interesting experiment to conduct.
