In case someone knows, was curious about how auto tune mobile antennas work - company here in Australia (Barrett) make an auto unit that mounts on the bull bar of the car - covers 2-30Mhz, has a stainless whip of 1.65m on top and apparently has no moving parts- how can this be ? Presume they have a substitute for wire lenghts. What would be the technology that allows for this antenna to talk 450 odd different frequencies ?
