Hi Peter, Look in one of the ARRL books or compendiums for X-beams. I have seen several multiband designs. A hex-beam is fundamentally the same type of antenna and you should be able to find the answers to your questions. I agree with your point that the feedpoint most likely is lower than 50 ohms due to the tight coupling of the elements.By the way do you know ON4CFC a friend of mine ? Jef
