I got a Hy Gain vertical antenna from the swap meet. The bottom of the radiating element says 130 - 225 MHz. It has two sets of ground plane radials. I tried max length but optimum SWR is still above 2 M band. The two sets of radials (4 elements each at 45 deg) are 22" and 36" below the radiating element. Can anyone tell me how the position of the radials will affect SWR vs. Freq? TNX
