Tom first off drill the holes in the sheet metal (be a man). I run a Kenwood ts 120s mobile and I run a set of 5 pro-am sticks when stationary I find That I can get away without a tuner up to 20mtrs but for 40&80 I use an MFJ mobile antenna matcher right at the base of the antenna inside the vehical this is Matcher consists of nothing more than a few different Disc Capacitors and a rotary switch which switches them to ground Its cheap and works great! I have also recently added a 20 mtr Lakeview Hamstick to the rear fender (and yes I drilled a hole) The match on this is usable . but I may add an Induct a match available from Lakeview for aproximatly 17.00 US. Both these devices will work with just about any mobile antenna and are alot cheaper than the auto tuners.
