A rhombic should be at least 3 wave lengths long (total length per leg). Not too bad for 30 Mhz However, the fed point impedence is high about 600 ohms. The proper balun could bring it down to 50 ohms. A proper rhombic has a lot higher gain (>11 dbd) and is highly directional, especially if terminated!
