hi Dick and all,

yes, I am sure this antenna works. Some considerations: as we see, this superc is about 4% wav. high. This ,of course, is small but if you consider 7 mhz band, we will have about 6 feet or 1.80 meters For 3.5 mhz we will have 12 feet or 3.7 meters high. Radiation resistance quite low, hence probabily we need a specific balun.

The only data not clear is how big is the vertical angle. They said: low vertical radiator.

I am highlight this because ,following my cfa experiments, a 2.5 max 3% wav antenna , can equal a vertical traditional gp. BUT the actual problem is that cfa is an high angle vertical radiator. This inpact on overall performance on low band dxing.

So how " low radiator" is the superc?

These are just some considerations to answer Dick's questions.

Probabily cfa is smaller than superc, but ,perhaps, has more high vertical angle. Both antennas are NOT wide band, and BOTH are NOT so much sensitive to field coupling (vy good) Both antennas require a remote band switching

So ,guys, if we want some "miracles" on low band dxing ,we have to accept some mechanical problems...try to think to a 4 meters high antenna with a 8 X 8 meters ground element/ collector!!! 73 Stefano
