I'm proceeding to build a CFA for testing at 80 meters using the articles on your website. However, pardon me for being greedy - 160 meter operation from my spartan, residential lot has been a dream for more than 30 years! The CFA looks like it may make my 160 meters dream possible!

Here are my questions... 1) Do you have any data that indicates how I should scale the E- and D-plate dimensions to produce a feasible design for 160 meter operation? For example, should I scale all of the dimensions and spacings by a factor of 2 to effect electrical equivalency of the 80 meter operating characteristics at 160 meters? 2) Is it likely that the network shown in the "care and feeding ..." article would still function on 160 meters if the physical dimensions were scaled up by 2, 3 or 4 times? 3) I understand that the suggested toroids will exhibit increased hysteresis losses at 1.8mhz; will these toroids still work or do I need to find a substitute?

Thanks!!! David A. Lind
