Hi Jack, First I have to define as "mini" a CFA which is Lambda/200 or smaller. After a absence of 3 weeks (due to qrl) I restarted the experiments with the fascinating CFAs and succeded to make it work.! Mine is only 130cm diameter of the cylinder and I used the phasing network of Antennex with the only difference that I reduced the space to the ground plane to 5cm. The ground plane is a 65x65cm Al plate and the capacitors I used, are vacuum ones. The QSOs last sunday, gave me rpts of 58 to 59 in Europe with the Antenna placed on the roof at 45°. I have some improvements in mind for the next weekend if the wheater is ok. Will keep You informed. If You need a Photo I can send it to You in jpg. Tuning the Antenna was no problem and the swr is 1:1 . The bandwith for resonable QSOs is of aprox. 10KHz. vy 73 de Werner
