Ok, cores are coming from Amidon, and I'll be ready to start building one of the beasties this weekend. A couple of preliminary questions, though..
(1) In the explanation for the updated phasing network, Ted mentions tapping the transformer winding 12 turns up from the "bottom". I assume the bottom, in this case, is the E-plate end of the winding?
(2) Is there a particular reason the T130-2 core was specified for the input transformer? I'd rather use a T200-2, or even better, two of them. I'm assuming (dangerous!) that considerable current will flow in the transformer at higher power levels. ?? Anyway, I have both types coming, so no problem either way.
(3) What changes, if any, need to be made to the input transformer for use on 40m? Obviously, the airwound inductors will need to be 'halved', but if the transformer could remain constant, I could bandswitch fairly easily..
I hate to post so many questions, but I don't want to make any more assumptions about this antenna than I have to! :-)
