This may be a silly one, but THEY say the only silly question is an unasked one! Given a standard shack setup, x'mitter, coax and a half wave CF horizontal trimmed for a single resonant frequency. If it were possible to place the x'mitter in the center of the half wave, as in a small balun type case and it did not change the antenne properties. Would the half wave with no feeder function the same as in the standard setup? Randy VE3ARB
