Hakan - thanks for the clues. Speculation and intuitive thinking are good, and essential to many scientific advances. I was looking for evidence that the CFA/EHA had got past that stage. If you have seen any theory published for either antenna (not just formulas copied from books) it would be interesting to have a look at it. . . 73s, Alan
