Hakan - on the contrary I read the article and found it a good one, and my comments on efficiency were almost verbatim quotes. For those who haven't read it, VK2EDB said "with the antenna in its present position . . the ground wave signal is almost gone". For short-skip he says "signals are well down at least 2 S points or more". For long-skip: "the low angle of radiation enables it to compete quite well". . . . That's all he says about efficiency, am I right?. . . . To take the only numerical evidence he gives, if an attenuation of 2 S points is about 12dB, that means an efficiency of 6.3% . . 73s Alan
