Hakan - thanks for your reply and actually I said NEC does provide an accurate model for a CFA, certainly for its radiating characteristics. I do not recognise your characterisation of the NEC model and would be interested in any reasons you might have for your opinion. . . . The article by VK2EDB looks all right, he got some QSOs and is happy but the article sensibly did not address the main issue which is the CFA's radiation efficiency, which is suspected to be poor. The article reports no ground wave, 2 'S' points attenuation for short skip and 'competes quite well' for long-skip. . . . You have got the argument about Poynting Vector Synthesis the wrong way round. It's not up to me to prove it is wrong, it is up to the inventors to prove or demonstrate that it is right. This applies to any new scientific idea whether it is Cold Fusion, Free Energy Machines or novel antennas. If the CFA projects for AM broadcasting in several countries are successful, that would be a good reason to revisit the theory - we're still waiting for some good news on that front. . . . . 73s, Alan
