David - if there is a novel version of the mathematics it needs to be in the public domain, as it is difficult to comment on something at second hand. To get it into the public domain it must convince referees that there is something worth publishing. If I were refereeing it I would look for substance rather than speculation. There would need to be evidence that the present theory (e.g. in Feynman vol 2, table 15-1, 5th box down on the rhs) has been understood, then built on and extended.
