Well Alan, at lower frequencies, radials are quite long. This antenna exhibits a very low profile and neighbors don't typically recognize it as an antenna. Regardless of what has been written critisizing the antenna, it does actually work well. I have full size dipole and vertical to compare it against and I am quite happy with its performance. Sometimes the theory deviates from the practice. 73 Rick
