David, I hope that 10 mic cap, that I'm holding onto has the correct voltage rating!! Yes, a capacitor has impedance and it is a measure of the capacitor's opposition to performing its charge/discharge cycle every half wave. Keeping it simple, 10 mic at 220VAC, 50 Hz would be about 318 ohm and me with a hand to hand dry skin resistance of 50k ohm gives a Z of 50.001k therefore about 4.4mA charge/discharge current.>>>>I'd still be around and it does not disprove what I have been taught!>>>>As a side note, in some of the logic controllers I use, instead of a battery to keep volatile data memory valid, they use super caps that will keep memory for about 25 days at 20 deg C once they have been fully charged.>>>> Happy New Year to you David and everyone else.
