Bill - I think you are mistaken in assuming that diplacement currents do not occur around transmission lines. The is an electric field, it changes, hence there is a displacement current. It really is that simple. . . . Part of my reply is further up under "article 143" - I don't know how that happened. . . . Best regards, Alan
