Stray capacitance.

We have all met the phenomenon of stray capacitance. Current is transfered from one part of a circuit to another through the "strays" formed by the capacitance between extended bits of metal in each of the parts of the circuit. As there is nothing physically linking these remote parts, I'd like to suggest displacement current flow as the coupling mechanism. Notwithstanding that this looks like a current, it can be shown that it does NOT contribute to any radiation from the circuit. <><><> Happy New Year <><><> David Jefferies.
