Michele - as you implied, Ivor Catt never had any takers for his eccentric views on EM, because they never explained anything that was unexplained, neither did they disprove anything that was common knowledge. So his contribution to science was a negative one. In the sample you included, he was trying to lay the law down about cause and effect, and, as we saw a while ago, that can be unprofitable. . . . You can see his method in the clip, where he claims that in effect nobody realised that a capacitor was the same as a transmission line, without having enough common sense to see that what divides them is the size in wavelengths. . . . I feel if the term "displacement current" were somehow disallowed, we would need to find another name for that dD/dt term introduced by Maxwell . . . best regards, Alan
