Should there be 2 antenna efficiency definitians? One for the actual xmitter, coax & antenna system and another for the radiation/atmosphere system. If you have taken all the care in creating a transmitting system and all your measurements indicate that 99% of the xmitter power is being radiated, then you can conclude you have done well. On the other hand, once the power has left the antenna and is being lost in rain gutters, steel doors, buildings and the ground, then you have not done so well. Randy
