There seems to be much confusion on the definition of antenna efficiency. Surely the only way to be sure is to apply a certain amount of RF power in an antenna and measure the heat passivly using an thermograph camera. Hence is 100W is applied and only 1W is generated as heat in the antenna structure can we say that the antenna is radiating 99% of the energy and therfore is 99% efficient... Regards Marc
