As a consequence of Bill's article "displacement current does not exist ", actually we could not measure the displacement current itself, same as the conduction current, only we could measure its effects (H created by the displacement current of charge motion), i.e., its produced magnetic field H in indirect way , i.e. through the mechanical torque resulting from the interaction between the magnetic field of the electric current H1 with the magnetic field lines of the permanent magnet H2 of the ammeter device. Sure both H1, H2 have the same frequency or we can describe their reaction as weak reaction of slightly different frequencies, fields!
Displacement current is actually discrete flow of time varying electric fields lines producing also desecrate magnetic field lines. But how the displacement current is producing magnetic field lines t ?; this is a very interesting process to know!
