Hi to everybody,

question is about differences in skin effect physics behaviour between microwave/RF frequency range and optical HF frequency range

I red that (by way of some particular mechanism related to electron free distance length - sorry if translation doesn't fit) skin effects in the indicated frequency ranges display different characteristics

Can anyone descibe, in simple words, what are the deviations (e.g. different losses, different current distribution and exemplary HF devices, devise locations where such effects need to be checked)

Nice day to all & thank you to any wizard who can bring enlightenment

Frank
