Some things you can do:

Measure inter-winding capacitance of RF transformers or multi-conductor coils
Measure the total antenna and feedline capacity to ground on vehicles or other mounting surfaces as an aid in tuning or matching of HF antennas
Measure coaxial cable capacity between the conductors of the cable for trap construction
Measure commercial HF mobile antenna coil values for future repair or replacement with homemade high power coils
Determine the capacity value of a top hat capacitive loaded antenna to ground for tuning information
Determine the capacitive coupling between RF carrying conductors to help correct feedback problems in receivers or transmitters
Determine inductor values for homebrew projects and homemade capacitors for loop antennas or other antenna projects when the correct parts cannot be found
Measure inner electrode coupling of RF connectors to determine amount of loss caused by the connector
Specialty component matching may be done with the Ready match % mode for either coils or capacitors such as those used in building filters. .....You are limited only by your imagination!

Each time I measure inductances and capacitances, the calculated resonance point was spot on with the point observed on the radio receiver. I have concluded that the picofarad and microhenries range is precise up to 1pF and 0.01 microhenries. Most of those measurements were done without leads and in order to make the measurements even more "pure", Jef removed the terminal screws from the meter in order to make a direct contact. — Jef Verborgt

This piece of equipment is second only to my MFJ 259 analyzer. Just fantastic, making coils and calibrating them has become a piece of cake. Using the function " Match" and the function " Match % " one can compare coils and get immediately the differences in inductance as well as the percentage of difference. Just amazing and with this tool it has become real fun to make coils and take the guessing out of it. — Pascal

The LC meter IIB I ordered arrived very promptly—and is a most impressive and accurate unit that is convenient to use. On the C-side, it is more accurate than the older C-meter that I have, although that was much easier to use than the former generation of bridges. The zeroing functions, including the "tare" accounting, are most welcome for low values of L or C. I am not certain what could be done to improve the unit.
