The L/C Meter IIB
Quit Guessing! Measure that Inductance or Capacitance!
Affordable Measuring Equipment Available Assembled or in Kit Form
Quit guessing at the values of your collection of capacitors and inductors. Find out about the capacity of those coils and baluns. Check those antenna base mounts and feedlines. Without exact values, turning on the power and waiting for things to work, or something to go bang, is a nerve-wracking luck of the draw! Reduce the chance of sparks or explosions with those antenna system connections by having the confidence of knowing how much true value that component is rated for!
How many times have you looked for capacitors and inductors in that junk box and hoped what is found would be the correct value for that project? Do those components have the values on them printed in some unknown language or cryptographic symbols? And how many are without a clue to be found as to the value on the wrapping, packing, or anywhere on the part itself? Sound familiar?
Well, never again will you worry about those values. The L/C Meter IIB is a very precise measuring device that is a must for your antenna/radio projects that will eliminate the guesswork and minimize the change of electronic failures and at an affordable price!
antenneX has tested this device and not only do we use it in our own projects, we are pleased enough to add this product to our selected list of equipment we recommend (click to see review article).

SOME TESTIMONIES:
One of our regular technical writers for antenneX, Jef Verborgt
of Louisana (formerly of Belgium) has this to say:
| Each time I measure inductances and capacitances, the calculated resonance point was spot on with the point observed on the radio receiver. I have concluded that the picofarad and microhenries range is precise up to 1pF and 0.01 microhenries. Most of those measurements were done without leads and in order to make the measurements even more "pure", Jef removed the terminal screws from the meter in order to make a direct contact. Also, another one of our writers in Belgium, Pascal Veecksman, ON4CFC has one of these same units and says the following:

And yet another from an expert, L.B. Cebik, W4RNL:
| The LC meter IIB I ordered arrived very promptlyand is a most impressive and accurate unit that is convenient to use. On the C-side, it is more accurate than the older C-meter that I have, although that was much easier to use than the former generation of bridges. The zeroing functions, including the "tare" accounting, are most welcome for low values of L or C. I am not certain what could be done to improve the unit. It even arrived with a battery installeda welcome courtesy on the maker's part. L.B. Cebik, W4RNL |
